With this original painting, the artist wanted to illustrate the maternal instinct of a mother bison and her calf. Facing a turbulent future, modeled by a snowstorm, this mother bison is determined to protect her baby. It is also a way for ASIMO to comment on the lives of many single mothers—or other women facing similar obstacles.
